1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act re-creating the Marine Resources
3 Conservation Trust Fund of the Department of
4 Environmental Protection without modification;
5 carrying forward current balances and
6 continuing uses thereof; providing an effective
7 date.

9 WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of
10 the Marine Resources Conservation Trust Fund, which is
11 otherwise scheduled to be terminated pursuant to
12 constitutional mandate, and
13 WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Marine
14 Resources Conservation Trust Fund before its scheduled
15 termination date and found that it continues to meet an
16 important public purpose, and
17 WHEREAS, the Legislature finds that the existing public
18 policy concerning the Marine Resources Trust Fund sets
19 adequate parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,
20
21 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

23 Section 1. (1) The Marine Resources Conservation
24 Trust Fund within the Department of Environmental Protection,
25 FLAIR number 37-2-467, which is to be terminated pursuant to
26 Section 19(f), Article III of the State Constitution on
27 November 4, 2000, is re-created.
28 (2) All current balances of the trust fund are carried
29 forward and uses of the trust fund are continued.
30 Section 2. This act shall take effect November 4,
31 2000.
