1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act re-creating the Hurricane Andrew
3 Recovery and Rebuilding Trust Fund within the
4 Department of Environmental Protection without
5 modification; carrying forward current balances
6 and continuing current sources and uses
7 thereof; providing an effective date.

9 WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of
10 the Hurricane Andrew Recovery and Rebuilding Trust Fund within
11 the Department of Environmental Protection, which is otherwise
12 scheduled to be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate,
13 and
14 WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the trust fund
15 before its scheduled termination date and has found that it
16 continues to meet an important public purpose, and
17 WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public
18 policy concerning the trust fund sets adequate parameters for
19 its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

21 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
22
23 Section 1. (1) The Hurricane Andrew Recovery and
24 Rebuilding Trust Fund, FLAIR number 37-2-205, which was
25 created within the Department of Environmental Protection and
26 which is to be terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article
27 III of the State Constitution on November 4, 2000, is
28 re-created.
29 (2) All current balances of the trust fund are carried
30 forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund
31 are continued.

1 Section 2. This act shall take effect November 4,
2 2000.
