  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act re-creating the State Park Trust Fund of

  3         the Department of Environmental Protection

  4         without modifications; carrying forward current

  5         balances and continuing current sources and

  6         uses thereof; providing an effective date.

  7

  8         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

  9  the State Park Trust Fund, which is otherwise scheduled to be

10  terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate, and

11         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the trust fund

12  before its scheduled termination date and has found that it

13  continues to meet an important public purpose, and

14         WHEREAS, the Legislature finds that the existing public

15  policy concerning the trust fund sets adequate parameters for

16  its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

18  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

19

20         Section 1.  (1)  The State Park Trust Fund within the

21  Department of Environmental Protection, FLAIR number 37-2-675,

22  which is to be terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article

23  III of the State Constitution on November 4, 2000, is

24  re-created.

25         (2)  All current balances of the trust fund are carried

26  forward and all current sources and uses of the trust fund are

27  continued.

28         Section 2.  This act shall take effect November 4,

29  2000.
