  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the tax on sales, use, and

  3         other transactions; amending s. 212.18, F.S.;

  4         abolishing the additional fee for a certificate

  5         of registration charged to specified dealers;

  6         providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  Subsection (5) of section 212.18, Florida

11  Statutes, 1998 Supplement, is repealed.

12         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

13  law.

16                          HOUSE SUMMARY

      Abolishes the additional fee charged for a certificate of
18    registration to a dealer, as defined for the purposes of
      the tax on sales, use, and other transactions, who had
19    taxable sales or purchases of $30,000 or more during the
      previous calendar year.
