1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act re-creating the Conservation and
3 Recreation Lands Trust Fund of the Department
4 of Environmental Protection without
5 modification; carrying forward current balances
6 and continuing current sources and uses
7 thereof; providing an effective date.

9 WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of
10 the Conservation and Recreation Lands Trust Fund, which is
11 otherwise scheduled to be terminated pursuant to
12 constitutional mandate, and
13 WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Conservation
14 and Recreation Lands Trust Fund before its scheduled
15 termination date and has found that it continues to meet an
16 important public purpose, and
17 WHEREAS, the Legislature finds that the existing public
18 policy concerning the Conservation and Recreation Lands Trust
19 Fund sets adequate parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,
20
21 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

23 Section 1. (1) The Conservation and Recreation Lands
24 Trust Fund within the Department of Environmental Protection,
25 FLAIR number 37-2-131, which is to be terminated pursuant to
26 Section 19(f), Article III of the State Constitution on
27 November 4, 2000, is re-created.
28 (2) All current balances of the trust fund are carried
29 forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund
30 are continued.

1 Section 2. This act shall take effect November 4,
2 2000.
