13         Amendment to Amendment (751019) (with title amendment) 

14         On page 4, between lines 4 and 5,

15

16  insert:

17         Section 5.  Subsection (1) of section 103.101, Florida

18  Statutes, is amended and subsections (2), (3), (4), (5), (6),

19  (7), (8) and (9) are renumbered as subsections (3), (4), (5),

20  (6), (7), (8), (9) and (10) and a new subsection (2) is added

21  to said section to read:

22         103.101  Presidential preference primary.--

23         (1)  Each political party other than a minor political

24  party shall, on the first second Tuesday in March in each year

25  the number of which is a multiple of 4, elect one person to be

26  the candidate for nomination of such party for President of

27  the United States or select delegates to the national

28  nominating convention, as provided by party rule.

29         (2)  Notwithstanding any other provision of law, any

30  election which is currently scheduled to be held concurrent

31  with the presidential preference primary on the second Tuesday

 9  after the semicolon insert:

10         amending s. 103.101, F.S.; changing the date of

11         the presidential preference primary; providing

12         that any election scheduled to be held

13         concurrent with the presidential preference

14         primary in the year 2000 be changed to conform;
