14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

15         On page 23, lines 16-22, delete those lines

16

17  and insert:

18         Section 7.  In order to meet added demand for the

19  release of criminal history information created by this act,

20  the Department of Law Enforcement may file an application with

21  the Executive Office of the Governor certifying that there are

22  no authorized positions available for addition, deletion, or

23  transfer within the agency and recommending an increase in the

24  number of positions. The Administration Commission may, after

25  a public hearing, authorize an increase in the number of

26  positions in excess of the amount established by the

27  Legislature. Any request under this section is subject to the

28  notice and review procedures set forth in section 216.177,

29  Florida Statutes.
