7 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
8
9 Section 1. (1)(a) That portion of State Road 54 in
10 Pasco County, currently designated as the "Purple Heart
11 Highway," 1 mile east and 1 mile west of the intersection of
12 State Road 54 and I-75 is hereby codesignated as the "State
13 Trooper James Crooks Highway."
14 (b) The Department of Transportation is directed to
15 erect suitable markers designating the "State Trooper James
16 Crooks Highway" as described in paragraph (a).
17 (2)(a) The Florida Highway Patrol substation on State
18 Road 52 in Land O'Lakes is hereby designated as the "State
19 Trooper James Crooks Substation."
20 (b) The Department of Highway Safety and Motor
21 Vehicles is directed to erect suitable markers designating the
22 "State Trooper James Crooks Substation" as described in
23 paragraph (a).
24 (3) The Department of Transportation is directed to
25 erect two additional markers for the "Purple Heart Highway" on
26 State Road 54.
27 Section 2. Florida Arts Trail designation; markers.--
28 (1) That portion of U.S. Highway 90 in Jefferson and
29 Leon Counties between Tallahassee and Monticello is hereby
30 designated as part of the "Florida Arts Trail."

1 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
2 erect suitable markers designating the "Florida Arts Trail" as
3 described in subsection (1).
4 Section 3. Camp Gordon Johnston Memorial Highway
5 designation; markers.--
6 (1) That portion of U.S. Highway 98 in Franklin County
7 between the Tillie Miller Bridge in Carrabelle and the
8 Ochlockonee Bay Bridge is hereby designated as the "Camp
9 Gordon Johnston Memorial Highway."
10 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
11 erect suitable markers designating the "Camp Gordon Johnston
12 Memorial Highway" as described in subsection (1).
13 Section 4. Charles B. Costar, Sr., Turnpike Plaza
14 designation; markers.--
15 (1) The Palm Beach Plaza on the Florida Turnpike in
16 Palm Beach County is hereby designated as the "Charles B.
17 Costar, Sr., Turnpike Plaza."
18 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
19 erect suitable markers designating the "Charles B. Costar,
20 Sr., Turnpike Plaza" as described in subsection (1).
21 Section 5. Claude Pepper Memorial Highway; markers.--
22 (1) U.S. Highway 27 in the State of Florida is hereby
23 designated as the "Claude Pepper Memorial Highway."
24 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
25 erect suitable markers designating the "Claude Pepper Memorial
26 Highway" as described in subsection (1). Because of the length
27 of the highway designated under this section, the department
28 is authorized to determine appropriate intervals along U.S.
29 Highway 27 for the location of markers so as to inform the
30 public of the designation.

1 Section 6. Moroso Memorial Highway designation;
2 markers.--
3 (1) That portion of State Road 710 (Bee Line Highway)
4 in Palm Beach County between State Road 809 (Military Trail)
5 and State Road 706 (Indiantown Road) is hereby designated as
6 the "Moroso Memorial Highway."
7 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
8 erect suitable markers designating the "Moroso Memorial
9 Highway" as described in subsection (1).
10 Section 7. Dr. Armando Bucelo, Sr., Way designation;
11 markers.--
12 (1) That portion of Southwest 8th Street in Miami
13 between Southwest 67th Avenue and Southwest 70th Avenue is
14 hereby designated as the "Dr. Armando Bucelo, Sr., Way."
15 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
16 erect suitable markers designating the "Dr. Armando Bucelo,
17 Sr., Way" as described in subsection (1).
18 Section 8. William T. Marler Bridge designation;
19 markers.--
20 (1) The Destin Bridge at East Pass on U.S. Highway 98
21 in Okaloosa County is hereby designated as the "William T.
22 Marler Bridge."
23 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
24 erect suitable markers designating the "William T. Marler
25 Bridge" as described in subsection (1).
26 Section 9. Trooper Donald Earl Jennings Highway
27 designation; markers.--
28 (1) That portion of State Road 869 (Sawgrass
29 Expressway) in Broward County between State Road 816 (Oakland
30 Park Boulevard) and State Road 870 (Commercial Boulevard) is

1 hereby designated as the "Trooper Donald Earl Jennings

3 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
4 erect suitable markers designating the "Trooper Donald Earl
5 Jennings Highway" as described in subsection (1).
6 Section 10. Carrie. P. Meek Road designation;
7 markers.--
8 (1) State Road 9 from Northwest 58th Street to County
9 Line Road (Dade/Broward) is designated as the "Carrie P. Meek
10 Road."
11 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
12 erect suitable markers designating the "Carrie P. Meek Road"
13 as described in subsection (1).
14 Section 11. Bayou Chico Bridge designation; markers.--
15 (1) The new bridge over Bayou Chico on State Roard 292
16 in Pensacola/Escambia County is hereby designated as the
17 "Bayou Chico Bridge."
18 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
19 erect suitable markers designating the "Bayou Chico Bridge" as
20 described in subsection (1).
21 Section 12. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
22 law.
