17 and insert in lieu thereof: 2. In school years 1998-1999 and
18 1999-2000, a school's performance grade category designation
19 shall be determined by parental involvement, the student
20 achievement levels on the FCAT, and on other appropriate
21 performance data, including, but not limited to, attendance,
22 dropout rate, school discipline data, and student readiness
23 for college, in accordance with state board rule.
24 3. Beginning with the 2000-2001 school year, a
25 school's performance grade category designation shall be based
26 on a combination of student achievement scores as measured by
27 the FCAT, on the degree of measured learning gains of the
28 students, parental involvement, and on other appropriate
29 performance data, including, but not limited to, attendance,
30 dropout rate, school discipline data, and student readiness
31 for college.

1 4. Beginning with the 2001-2002 school year and
2 thereafter, a school's performance grade category designation
3 shall be based on parental involvement, student learning gains
4 as measured by annual FCAT assessments in grades 3 through 10,
5 and on other appropriate performance data, including, but not
6 limited to, attendance, dropout rate, school discipline data,
7 and student readiness for college.
