17 Section 23. Section 768.737, Florida Statutes, is
18 created to read:
19 768.737 Punitive damages; application in
20 arbitration.--Sections 768.72, 768.725, and 768.73 are
21 intended to apply to civil actions, including arbitration
22 proceedings. In the case of an arbitration proceeding, an
23 arbitrator who renders an award for punitive damages must
24 issue a written opinion setting forth the conduct which gave
25 rise to the award and how the arbitrator applied the standards
26 in s. 768.72 to such conduct.
