14         Senate Amendment 

15         On page 10, line 10, through page 11, line 1, delete

16  those lines,

18  and insert:

19         (3)(a)  For the purpose of this section, a family

20  violence indicator must be placed on a record when a party

21  executes a sworn statement requesting that a family violence

22  indicator be placed on that party's record which states that

23  the party has reason to believe that release of information to

24  the Federal Case Registry may result in physical or emotional

25  harm to the party or the child.

26         (b)  Before the family violence indicator can be

27  removed from a record, the protected person must be afforded

28  notice and an opportunity to appear before the court on the

29  issue of whether the disclosure will result in harm.
