27  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

28

29         Section 1.  (1)(a)  That portion of State Road 54 in

30  Pasco County, currently designated as the "Purple Heart

31  Highway," 1 mile east and 1 mile west of the intersection of

  1  State Road 54 and I-75 is hereby codesignated as the "State

  2  Trooper James Crooks Highway."

  3         (b)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

  4  erect suitable markers designating the "State Trooper James

  5  Crooks Highway" as described in paragraph (a).

  6         (2)(a)  The Florida Highway Patrol substation on State

  7  Road 52 in Land O'Lakes is hereby designated as the "State

  8  Trooper James Crooks Substation."

  9         (b)  The Department of Highway Safety is directed to

10  erect suitable markers designating the "State Trooper James

11  Crooks Substation" as described in paragraph (a).

12         (3)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

13  erect two additional markers for the "Purple Heart Highway" on

14  State Road 54.

15         Section 2.  (1)  That portion of Highway 20 lying west

16  of the Apalachicola River Bridge in Calhoun County to the Bay

17  County line on the west is designated as the "Fuller Warren

18  Parkway."

19         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

20  erect suitable markers designating the "Fuller Warren

21  Parkway."

22         Section 3.  (1)  Southwest 87th Avenue from Coral Way

23  to Bird Road in Miami-Dade County is designated as the "Saint

24  Marcellin Champagnat Way."

25         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

26  erect suitable markers designating the "Saint Marcellin

27  Champagnat Way."

28         Section 4.  (1)  That portion of U.S. Highway 98 in

29  Franklin County between the Tillie Miller Bridge in Carrabelle

30  and the Ochlockonee Bay Bridge is hereby designated as the

31  "Camp Gordon Johnston Memorial Highway."

  1         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

  2  erect suitable markers designating the "Camp Gordon Johnston

  3  Memorial Highway" as described in subsection (1).

  4         Section 5.  (1)  The bridge crossing the Intracoastal

  5  Waterway on State Road A1A/Southeast 17th Street in Fort

  6  Lauderdale is designated the "E. Clay Shaw, Jr., Bridge," and

  7  that portion of State Road A1A/Southeast 17th Street in Fort

  8  Lauderdale between Southeast 23rd Avenue and the Mercedes

  9  River Bridge and between U.S. 1 and Eisenhower Boulevard is

10  designated the "Commodore Brook Memorial Causeway."

11         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

12  erect appropriate markers designating the "E. Clay Shaw, Jr.,

13  Bridge" and the "Commodore Brook Memorial Causeway."

14         Section 6.  (1)  That portion of U.S. Highway 90 in

15  Jefferson and Leon counties between Tallahassee and Monticello

16  is designated as part of the "Florida Arts Trail."

17         (2)  The Department of Transportation shall erect

18  suitable markers designating the "Florida Arts Trail."

19         Section 7.  (1)  State Road 9 from NW 58th Street in

20  Dade County to the Broward County line is designated as the

21  "Carrie P. Meek Boulevard."

22         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

23  erect suitable markers designating the "Carrie P. Meek

24  Boulevard."

25         Section 8.  (1) The Destin Bridge at East Pass is

26  designated the "William T. Marler Bridge."

27         (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to

28  erect suitable markers bearing the designation made by this

29  act.

30         Section 9.  (1)  U.S. Highway 27 within the State of

31  Florida is designated the "Claude Pepper Memorial Highway."

  1         (2)  The Department of Transportation shall erect

  2  suitable markers designating the "Claude Pepper Memorial

  3  Highway." Because of the length of the highway designated

  4  under this section, the department may determine appropriate

  5  intervals along U.S. Highway 27 for the location of markers so

  6  as to inform the public of the designation.

  7         Section 10.  (1)  That portion of Biscayne Boulevard in

  8  Miami-Dade County between N.E. 6th Street and N.E. 16th Street

  9  is designated the "Jorge Mas Canosa Boulevard."

10         (2)  The Department of Transportation shall erect

11  suitable markers designating the "Jorge Mas Canosa Boulevard."

12         Section 11.  (1)  That portion of SW 1st Street in Dade

13  County between 16th and 17th Avenues is designated "Armando

14  Perez 'Yambo' Boulevard."

15         (2)  The Department of Transportation shall erect

16  suitable markers designating the "Armando Perez 'Yambo'

17  Boulevard."

18         Section 12.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

19  law.
