16 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
17
18 Section 1. (1)(a) That portion of State Road 54 in
19 Pasco County, currently designated as the "Purple Heart
20 Highway," 1 mile east and 1 mile west of the intersection of
21 State Road 54 and I-75 is hereby codesignated as the "State
22 Trooper James Crooks Highway."
23 (b) The Department of Transportation is directed to
24 erect suitable markers designating the "State Trooper James
25 Crooks Highway" as described in paragraph (a).
26 (2)(a) The Florida Highway Patrol substation on State
27 Road 52 in Land O'Lakes is hereby designated as the "State
28 Trooper James Crooks Substation."
29 (b) The Department of Highway Safety is directed to
30 erect suitable markers designating the "State Trooper James
31 Crooks Substation" as described in paragraph (a).

1 (3) The Department of Transportation is directed to
2 erect two additional markers for the "Purple Heart Highway" on
3 State Road 54.
4 Section 2. (1) That portion of Highway 20 lying west
5 of the Apalachicola River Bridge in Calhoun County to the Bay
6 County line on the west is designated as the "Fuller Warren
7 Parkway."
8 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
9 erect suitable markers designating the "Fuller Warren
10 Parkway."
11 Section 3. (1) Southwest 87th Avenue from Coral Way
12 to Bird Road in Miami-Dade County is designated as the "Saint
13 Marcellin Champagnat Way."
14 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
15 erect suitable markers designating the "Saint Marcellin
16 Champagnat Way."
17 Section 4. (1) That portion of U.S. Highway 98 in
18 Franklin County between the Tillie Miller Bridge in Carrabelle
19 and the Ochlockonee Bay Bridge is hereby designated as the
20 "Camp Gordon Johnston Memorial Highway."
21 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
22 erect suitable markers designating the "Camp Gordon Johnston
23 Memorial Highway" as described in subsection (1).
24 Section 5. (1) The bridge crossing the Intracoastal
25 Waterway on State Road A1A/Southeast 17th Street in Fort
26 Lauderdale is designated the "E. Clay Shaw, Jr., Bridge," and
27 that portion of State Road A1A/Southeast 17th Street in Fort
28 Lauderdale between Southeast 23rd Avenue and the Mercedes
29 River Bridge and between U.S. 1 and Eisenhower Boulevard is
30 designated the "Commodore Brook Memorial Causeway."

4 Section 6. (1) That portion of U.S. Highway 90 in
5 Jefferson and Leon counties between Tallahassee and Monticello
6 is designated as part of the "Florida Arts Trail."
7 (2) The Department of Transportation shall erect
8 suitable markers designating the "Florida Arts Trail."
9 Section 7. (1) Northwest 27th Avenue from Northwest
10 54th Street to County Line Road (Miami-Dade/Broward County) is
11 designated as the "Carrie P. Meek Boulevard."
12 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
13 erect suitable markers designating the "Carrie P. Meek
14 Boulevard" as described in subsection (1).
15 Section 8. (1) The Destin Bridge at East Pass is
16 designated the "William T. Marler Bridge."
17 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
18 erect suitable markers bearing the designation made by this
19 act.
20 Section 9. (1) U.S. Highway 27 within the State of
21 Florida is designated the "Claude Pepper Memorial Highway."
22 (2) The Department of Transportation shall erect
23 suitable markers designating the "Claude Pepper Memorial
24 Highway." Because of the length of the highway designated
25 under this section, the department may determine appropriate
26 intervals along U.S. Highway 27 for the location of markers so
27 as to inform the public of the designation.
28 Section 10. (1) That portion of Biscayne Boulevard in
29 Miami-Dade County between N.E. 6th Street and N.E. 16th Street
30 is designated the "Jorge Mas Canosa Boulevard."

11 (1) The Palm Beach Plaza on the Florida Turnpike in
12 Palm Beach County is hereby designated as the "Charles B.
13 Costar, Sr., Turnpike Plaza."
14 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
15 erect suitable markers designating the "Charles B. Costar,
16 Sr., Turnpike Plaza" as described in subsection (1).
17 Section 13. Moroso Memorial Highway designation;
18 markers.--
19 (1) That portion of State Road 710 (Bee Line Highway)
20 in Palm Beach County between State Road 809 (Military Trail)
21 and State Road 706 (Indiantown Road) is hereby designated as
22 the "Moroso Memorial Highway."
23 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
24 erect suitable markers designating the "Moroso Memorial
25 Highway" as described in subsection (1).
26 Section 14. Dr. Armando Bucelo, Sr., Way designation;
27 markers.--
28 (1) That portion of Southwest 8th Street in Miami
29 between Southwest 67th Avenue and Southwest 70th Avenue is
30 hereby designated as the "Dr. Armando Bucelo, Sr., Way."

7 Expressway) in Broward County between State Road 816 (Oakland
8 Park Boulevard) and State Road 870 (Commercial Boulevard) is
9 hereby designated as the "Trooper Donald Earl Jennings
10 Highway."
11 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
12 erect suitable markers designating the "Trooper Donald Earl
13 Jennings Highway" as described in subsection (1).
14 Section 16. Bayou Chico Bridge designation; markers.--
15 (1) The new bridge over Bayou Chico on State Road 292
16 in Pensacola/Escambia County is hereby designated as the
17 "Bayou Chico Bridge."
18 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
19 erect suitable markers designating the "Bayou Chico Bridge" as
20 described in subsection (1).
21 Section 17. Senator Ruben Mendiola Way designation;
22 markers.--
23 (1) That portion of Coral Way/State Road 972 in Miami
24 between Southwest 17th Avenue and Southwest 13th Avenue is
25 hereby designated as "Senator Ruben Mendiola Way."
26 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
27 erect suitable markers designating "Senator Ruben Mendiola
28 Way" as described in subsection (1).
29 Section 18. Pinecrest Parkway designated; markers;
30 effect of designation.--

1 (1) State Road 5 (South Dixie Highway) within the
2 municipal limits of the Village of Pinecrest in Miami-Dade
3 County is hereby designated as the "Pinecrest Parkway."
4 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
5 erect suitable markers designating the "Pinecrest Parkway" as
6 described in subsection (1).
7 (3) The effect of the designation contained in this
8 section shall only be construed to require the placement of a
9 marker by the Department of Transportation at the termini
10 specified for the highway segment designated by this section.
11 This designation is for honorary purposes and shall not be
12 construed to require any action by a local government or
13 private party regarding the changing of any street sign,
14 mailing address, or emergency telephone number "911" system
15 listing.
16 Section 19. (1) That portion of Coral Way between
17 12th Avenue and 22nd Avenue is hereby designated "Angel Pio de
18 la Portilla Way."
19 (2) The Department of Transportation shall erect
20 suitable markers designating the "Angel Pio de la Portilla
21 Way."
22 Section 20. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
23 law.
