11  The Committee on Agriculture and Consumer Services recommended

12  the following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment 

15         On page 16, line 16, after the period, through line 22,

16  delete those lines

17

18  and insert:  The total finance charge may not exceed 96

19  percent simple interest under a title loan agreement during

20  the first year that it is in effect; and may not exceed 22

21  percent per month during any month of the first year of the

22  title loan agreement.
