1 House Resolution
2 A resolution commending the Fort Lauderdale
3 High School Law Magnet Program.

5 WHEREAS, the Fort Lauderdale High School Law Magnet
6 Program is a program centered around academic excellence, an
7 understanding and appreciation of law enforcement and public
8 service, and a strong base of conduct and excellence, created
9 and developed for the purpose of allowing students to achieve
10 their full potential, and
11 WHEREAS, the Fort Lauderdale High School Law Magnet
12 Program received third place in the state "We the People"
13 competition, and
14 WHEREAS, the Fort Lauderdale High School Law Magnet
15 Program has had ten national finalists in forensics, and
16 WHEREAS, the Fort Lauderdale High School Law Magnet
17 Program has a state champion in oral interpretation, and
18 WHEREAS, the Fort Lauderdale High School Law Magnet
19 Program has been named in the top five percent of high school
20 debate programs in the nation by the National Forensic League,
21 and
22 WHEREAS, the Fort Lauderdale High School Law Magnet
23 Program provides students with the support and positive
24 reinforcement they need to seek a career track, the
25 opportunity to succeed, and the skills necessary to enter the
26 workforce, NOW, THEREFORE,

28 Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of
29 Florida:

1 That the Florida House of Representatives joins the
2 citizens of Fort Lauderdale and Broward County in
3 congratulating Law Magnet Program Coordinator Judith Paul,
4 Principal Frances Vandiver, Faculty Coordinator Sharon Bleier
5 Glickman, and the students who participate in the Fort
6 Lauderdale High School Law Magnet Program for all of their
7 accomplishments.
8 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution
9 be presented to Program Coordinator Judith Paul, Principal
10 Frances Vandiver, and Faculty Coordinator Sharon Bleier
11 Glickman as a tangible token of the sentiments expressed
12 herein.
