  1                         House Resolution

  2         A resolution designating the week of March

  3         28-April 3, 1999, as "Florida Housing Week."

  4

  5         WHEREAS, the Florida Home Builders Association was

  6  established in 1949, and

  7         WHEREAS, the 14,000 corporate members of the Florida

  8  Home Builders Association and their 473,000 employees generate

  9  a $38.8-billion impact on Florida's economy, and

10         WHEREAS, the Florida Home Builders Association has for

11  50 years represented and promoted the interests of home

12  builders, housing professionals, and the purchasers of new

13  homes in Florida, and

14         WHEREAS, the Florida Home Builders Association has been

15  a champion of free enterprise and a vocal advocate of

16  affordable housing for all Floridians, NOW, THEREFORE,

17

18  Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of

19  Florida:

21         That the Florida House of Representatives joins with

22  the Florida Senate and the Florida Cabinet to declare March

23  28-April 3, 1999, as "Florida Housing Week" and to

24  congratulate President Edwin Henry and all the members of the

25  Florida Home Builders Association on the occasion of the 50th

26  Anniversary of the association.

27         BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution

28  be presented to President Edwin Henry as a tangible token of

29  the sentiments expressed herein.
