  1                         House Resolution

  2         A resolution commending the Florida

  3         Agricultural and Mechanical University women's

  4         basketball team for its outstanding performance

  5         during the 1998-1999 basketball season.

  7         WHEREAS, the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical

  8  University Rattlerettes finished the 1998-1999 basketball

  9  season in second place in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference,

10  and

11         WHEREAS, the Rattlerettes won their second Mid-Eastern

12  Athletic Conference tournament, earning a bid to the 1999 NCAA

13  women's basketball tournament, NOW, THEREFORE,

15  Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of

16  Florida:

18         That the House of Representatives of the State of

19  Florida hereby pauses in its deliberations to commend and

20  applaud the players and coaches of the Florida Agricultural

21  and Mechanical University Rattlerettes for their outstanding

22  performance during the 1998-1999 basketball season and for

23  representing Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University

24  and the State of Florida in the NCAA tournament.
