  1                         House Resolution

  2         A resolution in recognition of the Manatee High

  3         School Lady Hurricanes girls soccer team.

  4

  5         WHEREAS, the 1999 Manatee High School Lady Hurricanes

  6  girls soccer team finished a remarkable regular season with a

  7  record of 27-2-1, and

  8         WHEREAS, the 1999 Manatee High School Lady Hurricanes

  9  girls soccer team won the first district soccer title in

10  Manatee High School history, and

11         WHEREAS, statistically, the Lady Hurricanes led the

12  state's girls high school soccer teams with 27 shutouts and

13  the fewest goals allowed this season with four, and

14         WHEREAS, the Lady Hurricanes advanced to this year's

15  finals by defeating Melbourne 1-0 in the Class 6A-North II

16  Region semifinals, and

17         WHEREAS, Lady Hurricanes team members April Anderson,

18  Eva "PeeWee" Howland, Katie O'Neil, Erin Daughtry, Kira Walsh,

19  Niki Schier, Nicole Nasewicz, Michelle DeSauiniers, Heidi

20  Hackney, Eileen Norton, Sarah Thomas, Jenna Herold, Kari

21  Kaiser, Jessica Arb, Tai Dixon, Ann Bernreuter, Katie

22  Angersoll, Krista "Bear" Latessa, Maureen "Mo" Davila, and

23  Valerie Wetzel, and Lady Hurricanes Head Coach Paul Palmateer,

24  Assistant Coach Ken Bishop, and Team Manager Nicole Thiele are

25  all to be congratulated on their exceptional 1999 season, NOW,

26  THEREFORE,

  1         That the House of Representatives of the State of

  2  Florida hereby recognizes the Manatee High School Lady

  3  Hurricanes girls soccer team and congratulates them on their

  4  outstanding, record-setting 1999 season.

  5         BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution

  6  be transmitted to Paul Palmateer, Head Coach of the Manatee

  7  High School Lady Hurricanes girls soccer team, as a tangible

  8  token of the sentiments expressed herein.
