  1                         House Resolution

  2         A resolution commending Bernice Furrow for her

  3         volunteer efforts and accomplishments on behalf

  4         of the citizens of this state.

  5

  6         WHEREAS, Bernice Furrow volunteers her time and talent

  7  to organize meetings for informal discussions between

  8  Charlotte County residents and national, state, and local

  9  lawmakers on important issues, and

10         WHEREAS, Bernice Furrow has been instrumental in the

11  organization of the "Bitner Buscapades," designed to introduce

12  young adults to legislative lawmaking processes, and

13         WHEREAS, Bernice Furrow is currently serving as State

14  Cap Alert Chairwoman for the Florida Federation of Republican

15  Women and has served as President of the Peace River Federated

16  Republican Women's Forum and continues to be extremely active

17  in coordinating information on people and issues important to

18  Charlotte County constituents, and

19         WHEREAS, Bernice Furrow was named Republican Woman of

20  the Year in 1997 by the Peace River Federated Republican

21  Women's Forum, and

22         WHEREAS, Bernice Furrow continues to serve as a role

23  model for all with whom she comes in contact as she volunteers

24  her time and talent, NOW, THEREFORE,

26  Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of

27  Florida:

29         That Bernice Furrow is hereby commended for her

30  volunteer efforts and accomplishments on behalf of the

31  citizens of this state.
