  1                         House Resolution

  2         A resolution recognizing the accomplishments of

  3         Edward H. Hanna, Jr.

  4

  5         WHEREAS, from 1985 to the present, Edward Hanna has

  6  been the President of the West Perrine Community Development

  7  Corporation, Inc., of Miami, Florida, the organizational

  8  mission of which is to improve the economic environment of the

  9  West Perrine Target Area through commercial revitalization,

10  capital improvement, and housing development activities, and

11         WHEREAS, the West Perrine Community Development

12  Corporation, Inc., under the direction of Edward H. Hanna,

13  Jr., has been responsible for numerous achievements and

14  accomplishments in the areas of housing development, housing

15  counseling services, and commercial development, including the

16  development of 70 single-family housing units, the West

17  Perrine Enterprise Center, the Lee Arthur Lawrence Commercial

18  Center, the Housing Opportunity Center, the Community Action

19  Agency Family Service Center and Elderly Services Center, the

20  Contractor Fraud Elimination Program, the South Miami Heights

21  Entryway Features, the West Perrine Youth Entrepreneurial

22  Education Program, the West Perrine Retail Center, the Walker

23  Avenue Industrial Center, the Goulds Gymnasium Project, the

24  Comprehensive Medical and Health Center, and the West Perrine

25  Entrepreneurial Education Center, and

26         WHEREAS, the West Perrine Community Development

27  Corporation, Inc., under the direction of Edward H. Hanna,

28  Jr., has sponsored numerous special events, including the

29  Orange Blossom Classic Parade in 1994 and 1995, the Annual

30  National Martin Luther King, Jr., Holiday West Perrine

31  Celebration and Activities, the West Perrine Community Cleanup

  4  Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of

  7         That the Florida House of Representatives recognizes

  8  the accomplishments and achievements of Edward H. Hanna, Jr.,

  9  as President of the West Perrine Community Development
