  2         An act relating to Pinellas County; amending

  3         chapter 89-504, Laws of Florida; providing a

  4         correction to accurately reflect the

  5         administration of certification for plumbing

  6         contractors; providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  Subsection (1) of section 15 of chapter

11  75-489, Laws of Florida, as amended by chapter 89-504, Laws of

12  Florida, is amended to read:

13         Section 15.  EXAMINATION COMMITTEES.--

14         (1)  The board shall establish four (4) examination

15  committees to establish the examinations required for

16  certification under this part. One committee shall consist of

17  the board itself to establish and administer the

18  qualifications for certification and the examination for the

19  general contractors, building contractors, residential

20  building contractors, and specialty contractors; one committee

21  shall consist of the Chief Mechanical Inspector from either

22  the City of St. Petersburg, City of Clearwater or the County

23  of Pinellas and two (2) mechanical contractors residing and

24  engaged in business within the county all of whom shall be

25  appointed by the board to establish and administer subject to

26  approval by the board, the qualifications for certification

27  and the examination for mechanical contractors; one committee

28  shall consist of the Chief Electrical Inspector from either

29  the City of St. Petersburg, City of Clearwater or the County

30  of Pinellas and two (2) electrical contractors residing and

31  engaged in business within the county all of whom shall be

  2  approval by the board, the qualifications for certification

  3  and the examination for electrical contractors; one committee

  4  shall consist of the Chief Plumbing Inspector from either the

  5  City of St. Petersburg, City of Clearwater or the County of

  6  Pinellas and two (2) plumbing contractors residing and engaged

  7  in business within the county all of whom shall be appointed

  8  by the board to establish and administer subject to approval

  9  by the board, the qualifications for certification and the

10  examination for plumbing electrical contractors;

11         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

12  law.
