16 insert: Section 1. Short title.--This act may be cited as
17 the "Entertainment Florida Act of 1999."
18 Section 2. Legislative findings and intent.--The
19 Legislature finds that the entertainment industry is comprised
20 of multiple components, including, but not limited to, the
21 operation of motion picture or television studios; the
22 production of motion pictures, made-for-TV motion pictures,
23 televisions series, commercial advertising, music videos, and
24 sound recordings; the attendance at, participation in, and
25 hosting of professional and amateur sporting events; and the
26 attendance by in-state and out-of-state visitors at commercial
27 and other attractions in the state. The Legislature further
28 finds that these interrelated components form an entertainment
29 industry cluster with the potential to contribute
30 significantly to the efforts of the state to develop its
31 economy and create employment opportunities for its residents.
