14         On page 2, between lines 16 and 17, of the bill

16  insert:

17         Section 2.  Subsection (6) is added to section 90.502,

18  Florida Statutes, to read:

19         90.502  Lawyer-client privilege.--

20         (6)  A discussion or activity that is not a meeting for

21  purposes of s. 286.011 shall not be construed to waive the

22  attorney-client privilege established in this section. This

23  shall not be construed to constitute an exemption to either s.

24  119.07 or s. 286.011.

  1  and insert in lieu thereof:

  2                  A bill to be entitled

  3         An act relating to the Florida Evidence Code;

  4         amending s. 90.612, F.S.; requiring a judge to

  5         protect a witness under a specific age from

  6         undue harassment or embarrassment during

  7         interrogation and to restrict unnecessary

  8         repetition of questions; requiring that

  9         questions be stated in a form appropriate to

10         the age and understanding of the witness;

11         authorizing a court to forbid questions that

12         are not in a form reasonably understood;

13         amending s. 90.502, F.S.; providing that a

14         discussion or activity that is not a meeting

15         for purposes of s. 286.011, F.S., does not

16         waive the attorney-client privilege; providing

17         an effective date.
