1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to trust funds; terminating
3 specified trust funds administered by the
4 Agency for Health Care Administration, the
5 Department of Children and Family Services, or
6 the Department of Veterans' Affairs; providing
7 for disposition of balances in and revenues of
8 such trust funds; prescribing procedures for
9 the termination of such trust funds; renaming a
10 trust fund within the Department of Children
11 and Family Services; providing an effective
12 date.

14 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

16 Section 1. (1) The following trust funds administered
17 by the following agencies are terminated:
18 (a) Within the Agency for Health Care Administration,
19 the Florida Organ and Tissue Donor Education and Procurement
20 Trust Fund, FLAIR number 68-2-512.
21 (b) Within the Department of Children and Family
22 Services, the Direct Assistance Trust Fund, FLAIR number
23 60-2-156.
24 (c) Within the Department of Veterans' Affairs, the
25 Administrative Trust Fund, FLAIR number 50-2-021.
26 (2) Unless otherwise provided, all current balances
27 remaining in, and all revenues of, the trust funds terminated
28 by this act shall be transferred to the General Revenue Fund.
29 (3) For each trust fund terminated by this act, the
30 agency that administers the trust fund shall pay any
31 outstanding debts or obligations of the terminated fund as

1 soon as practicable, and the Comptroller shall close out and
2 remove the terminated fund from the various state accounting
3 systems using generally accepted accounting principles
4 concerning warrants outstanding, assets, and liabilities.
5 Section 2. The Child Care and Development Block Grant
6 Trust Fund within the Department of Children and Family
7 Services, FLAIR number 60-2-098, is renamed the Child Care
8 Development Trust Fund.
9 Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2000.
