11  Senator Campbell moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 2, line 15, after the period

15

16  insert:  Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the

17  contrary, a private vendor that operates a private

18  correctional facility under contract with the Correctional

19  Privatization Commission, the Department of Corrections, or a

20  political subdivision of the state may not house any

21  out-of-state inmate who has been convicted of committing, or

22  attempting to commit the following crimes or their equivalent:

23  escape; murder; manslaughter; sexual battery; kidnapping; or

24  robbery.
