  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to standard time; exempting the

  3         state from observance of daylight saving time;

  4         providing an effective date.

  6  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  7

  8         Section 1.  Pursuant to 15 U.S.C. s. 260a(a), this

  9  state is exempted from the advancement of time prescribed in

10  15 U.S.C. s. 260a and shall at all times observe standard

11  time.

12         Section 2.  This act shall take effect January 1, 2001.
