11  Senator Sullivan moved the following amendment to amendment

14         Senate Amendment 

15         On page 23, line 30, through page 24, line 29 delete

16  those lines

17

18  and insert:

19         (h)  Any group of M.P.O.'s which has created a chair's

20  coordinating committee as of the effective date of this act

21  and is located within the same Department of Transportation

22  District which is comprised of four adjacent M.P.O.'s must

23  continue such committee as provided for in this section. Such

24  committee must also include one representative from each

25  M.P.O. contiguous to the geographic boundaries of the original

26  committee. The committee must, at a minimum:

27         1.  Coordinate transportation projects deemed to be

28  regionally significant by the committee.

29         2.  Review the impact of regionally significant land

30  use decisions on the region.

31         3. Review all proposed regionally significant

 2  improvement programs which affect more than one of the

 3  M.P.O.'s represented on the committee.

 4         4.  Institute a conflict resolution process to address

 5  any conflict that may arise in the planning and programming of

 6  such regionally significant projects.
