11  The Committee on Governmental Rules & Regulations offered the

14         Amendment 

15         On page 3, between lines 23 and 24, of the bill

16

17  insert:

18         (e)  Any licensed contractor who commences or performs

19  work for which a building permit is required pursuant to part

20  VII of chapter 553 without such building permit being in

21  effect is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree,

22  punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.
