11  Senator McKay moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 7, between lines 30 and 31,

16  insert:

17         Section 4.  Notwithstanding the General Appropriations

18  Act for 2000-2001, any school district that has submitted a

19  proposal to be a charter school district under section

20  228.058, Florida Statutes, prior to March 1, 2000, may levy up

21  to 1.0 of additional discretionary school millage, for 1 year

22  only, to provide funds necessary to implement the transition

23  to charter district status.

 8         for industrial machinery and equipment to

 9         machinery and equipment used to prepare

10         tangible personal property for shipment;

11         providing for such exemption to apply to

12         additional industries; providing for a refund

13         of certain taxes paid; authorizing certain

14         school districts to levy additional

15         discretionary millage;
