  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the Canaveral Port

  3         Authority, Brevard County; amending article

  4         VII, chapter 28922, Laws of Florida, 1953;

  5         authorizing reimbursement for official travel;

  6         providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  Section 4 is added to article VII of

11  chapter 28922, Laws of Florida, 1953, to read:

12                           ARTICLE VII

13

14         Section 4.  Official travel authorized by the Canaveral

15  Port Authority shall be reimbursed by the Authority in

16  accordance with the following provisions:

17         (1)  All official travel performed within the State of

18  Florida shall be reimbursable in accordance with s. 112.061,

19  Florida Statutes.

20         (2)  Official travel outside of the State of Florida

21  but within the continental United States shall be reimbursable

22  in accordance with s. 112.061, Florida Statutes, with the

23  exception of the reimbursement rate for meals. The

24  reimbursement rates for meals shall be as follows:

25      (a)    Breakfast  $ 5.00.

26      (b)    Lunch      $11.00.

27      (c)    Dinner     $22.00.

29  On October 1 of each year, the above meal rates will be

30  adjusted by the Consumer Price Index, "All urban consumers,

  1  food away from home," by the change in the 12-month period

  2  preceding October 1.

  3         (3)  Official travel outside of the continental United

  4  States shall be reimbursable in accordance with s. 112.061,

  5  Florida Statutes, with the exception of meals. The

  6  reimbursement rate for meals shall be in accordance with the

  7  United States Department of State Standardized Regulations,

  8  Per Diem Supplement for all foreign areas. Once the daily meal

  9  rate has been determined by the applicable travel location,

10  the following percentage rates will apply to the maximum daily

11  rate allowed:

12      (a)    Breakfast   14% of daily maximum rate.

13      (b)    Lunch       28% of daily maximum rate.

14      (c)    Dinner      58% of daily maximum rate.

15         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

16  law.
