13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 7, before line 1,

16  and insert:

17         Section 7.  The Legislature shall study the prospects

18  for adopting a sales-tax-increment method as an additional

19  means for financing redevelopment. The study shall commence as

20  soon as possible, with a report made to the Legislature no

21  later than January 30, 2001. The President of the Senate and

22  the Speaker of the House of Representatives shall determine

23  the manner by which the study shall be conducted.
