13         Senate Amendment 

14         On page 34, between lines 22 and 23,

16  insert:

17         Section 7.  Notwithstanding the General Appropriations

18  Act for 2000-2001, those school districts that have submitted

19  proposals to be a charter school district under s. 228.058,

20  F.S., prior to March 1, 2000, may levy up to 1.0 additional

21  discretionary school millage, for one year only, to provide

22  funds necessary to implement the transition to charter

23  district status.
