  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to affordable housing;

  3         providing legislative intent relating to the

  4         restructuring of the state housing tax credit

  5         program; providing legislative intent with

  6         respect to the determination of competitive

  7         determinations by the Florida Housing Finance

  8         Corporation; providing an effective date.

10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

12         Section 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to

13  revise the laws relating to the state housing tax credit

14  program provided in section 220.185, Florida Statutes, in

15  order to provide the most efficient and effective delivery of

16  financing with respect to the urban infill projects that the

17  state housing tax credit program was designed to enhance and

18  implement.

19         Section 2.  It is the intent of the Legislature that

20  the Florida Housing Finance Corporation's competitive programs

21  be administered expeditiously, while providing reasonable

22  due-process rights to applicants competing for funding or

23  allocation.

24         Section 3.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

25  law.

29    Expresses the legislative intent to revise the laws
      relating to the state housing tax credit program and the
30    intent that the Florida Housing Finance Corporation's
      competitive programs be administered expeditiously.
