  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to Everglades restoration;

  3         amending s. 373.4592, F. S.; providing that

  4         lands purchased for Everglades restoration must

  5         be made available for customary outdoor

  6         recreational activities; providing for

  7         exceptions; providing an effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11         Section 1.  Paragraph (h) is added to subsection (5) of

12  section 373.4592, Florida Statutes, to read:

13         373.4592  Everglades improvement and management.--

14         (5)  ACQUISITION AND LEASE OF STATE LANDS.--

15         (h)  All lands purchased for Everglades restoration

16  must be made available to the public for hunting, fishing,

17  camping, and traditional and customary outdoor natural

18  resource recreational activity unless the property is within

19  the present boundaries of Everglades National Park or the Ding

20  Darling National Wildlife Refuge or unless the Fish and

21  Wildlife Conservation Commission determines that an activity

22  is not suitable for the land.

23         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

24  law.

28    Requires that all lands purchased for Everglades
      restoration, except for specified lands, must be made
29    available for customary outdoor natural resource
      recreational purposes.
