  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to teacher salaries;

  3         establishing a minimum base annual salary for

  4         instructional personnel; providing an effective

  5         date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8

  9         Section 1.  There is hereby established a minimum base

10  annual salary of $40,000 for instructional personnel who are

11  certified to teach in the state according to the provisions of

12  s. 231.17, Florida Statutes.

13         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2000.
