11  Senator Casas moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 9, between lines 11 and 12,

15

16  insert:

17         Section 6.  Subsection (1) of section 192.091, Florida

18  Statutes, is amended to read:

19         192.091  Commissions of property appraisers and tax

20  collectors.--

21         (1)(a)  The budget of the property appraiser's office,

22  as approved by their respective boards of county commissioners

23  the Department of Revenue, shall be the basis upon which the

24  several tax authorities of each county, except municipalities

25  and the district school board, shall be billed by the property

26  appraiser for services rendered.  Each such taxing authority

27  shall be billed an amount that bears the same proportion to

28  the total amount of the budget as its share of ad valorem

29  taxes bore to the total levied for the preceding year. All

30  municipal and school district taxes shall be considered as

31  taxes levied by the county for purposes of this computation.

  1         (b)  Payments shall be made quarterly by each such

  2  taxing authority. The property appraiser shall notify the

  3  various taxing authorities of his or her estimated budget

  4  requirements and billings thereon at the same time as his or

  5  her budget request is submitted to the Department of Revenue

  6  pursuant to s. 195.087 and at the time the property appraiser

  7  receives final approval of the budget by the department.

17         An act relating to county fiscal matters;

18         amending s. 192.091, F.S.; providing for the

20         budgets of the respective property appraisers;

21         amending s. 199.292, F.S.;
