  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to technology development;

  3         expressing the legislative intent to foster the

  4         economic development of high-technology

  5         industries, including information-technology

  6         and high-definition television; providing an

  7         effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11         Section 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to

12  foster the economic development of high-technology industries

13  in the state, including, but not limited to, the

14  information-technology sector and the

15  high-definition-television sector, in order to create

16  employment and other economic opportunities for residents of

17  the state.

18         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

19  law.
