19         Section 17. 13.  DEATH SUPPLEMENT.--In the event of the

20  death of any pensioner while receiving a pension, or in the

21  event of the death of any firefighter duly appointed fireman,

22  the pension board may, upon the request of the next of kin of

23  the deceased, contribute out of the Firefighters' Firemen's

24  Relief and Pension Fund of said city or town, a sum not to

25  exceed two hundred dollars ($200.00) as a death supplement for

26  funeral expenses, which the pension board may in its

27  discretion discreation pay to the said next of kin or directly

28  to the undertaker. This death supplement funeral allowance,

29  however, shall be in addition to any pension allowable under

30  this act.
