  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to education curriculum;

  3         prohibiting certain instruction; providing an

  4         effective date.

  6  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  7

  8         Section 1.  Prohibited instruction.--No person

  9  responsible for educating students or preparing the school

10  curriculum at any educational institution that receives or

11  benefits from federal or state funds shall teach students to

12  identify and define a group by street language or racial

13  slang, on the basis of race, national origin, religion, sex,

14  handicap, or marital status.

15         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2000.

      Prohibits any person responsible for educating students
20    or preparing the school curriculum at any educational
      institution that receives or benefits from federal or

      a group by street language or racial slang, on the basis
