  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to airport authorities;

  3         expressing legislative intent to create a

  4         statutory framework that could be used by a

  5         county to create an airport authority;

  6         providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to

11  create a statutory framework that could be used by a county to

12  create an airport authority. Such an authority would be a

13  public instrumentality with specific powers and duties to

14  regulate and control the functions of a public airport.

15         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

16  law.
