18         (13)  "Community control" means the legal status of

19  probation created by law and court order in cases involving a

20  child who has been found to have committed a delinquent act.

21  Community control is an individualized program in which the

22  freedom of the child is limited and the child is restricted to

23  noninstitutional quarters or restricted to the child's home in

24  lieu of commitment to the custody of the Department of

25  Juvenile Justice.  Youth on probation may be assessed and

26  classified for placement in a day treatment probation program,

27  which is a more intensive and structured probation option

28  designed for youth who do not require placement and services

29  in a residential setting and who represent a minimum risk to

30  themselves and to public safety.  Day treatment probation

31  program types include:  vocational programs, marine programs,
