  2         An act relating to the City of Hollywood,

  3         Broward County; amending chapter 30836, Laws of

  4         Florida, 1955, as amended, relating to the

  5         Employees' Retirement Fund and the

  6         Firefighters' Pension Fund, respectively, to

  7         provide for amendments to Articles X and XII

  8         upon approval by a "majority plus one" vote of

  9         the City Commission and 50 percent plus one of

10         the voting members of the respective fund;

11         providing an effective date.

13  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

14

15         Section 1.  Section 10.07 is added to chapter 30836,

16  Laws of Florida, 1955, as amended, to read:

17         Section 10.07.  This article, including this section,

18  may be amended, in whole or in part, or repealed by the City

19  Commission upon approval of any such amendment or repeal by:

20         (a)  A "majority plus one" vote of the City Commission

21  and 50 percent plus one of the voting members of the

22  Employees' Retirement Fund; or

23         (b)  A majority vote of those qualified electors of the

24  city voting in a referendum election called for such purpose

25  by the City Commission and held in accordance with the

26  provisions of law relating to elections currently in force in

27  the City, or held in conjunction with a primary, general, or

28  other special election held in the City.

29         Section 2.  Section 12.23 is added to chapter 30836,

30  Laws of Florida, 1955, as amended, to read:

  1         Section 12.23.  This article, including this section,

  2  may be amended, in whole or in part, or repealed by the City

  3  Commission upon approval of any such amendment or repeal by:

  6  Firefighters' Pension Fund; or

  7         (b)  A majority vote of those qualified electors of the

13         Section 3.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

14  law.
