2 An act relating to Broward County; extending

9 exceptions; providing for referenda; providing

12 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
13
14 Section 1. The Broward County Board of County
15 Commissioners shall call for a referendum in the November 2000
16 general election in accordance with provisions of law relating
17 to elections currently in force.
18 (a) The purpose of said referendum shall be to
19 determine the annexation of area A as below described into
20 either the City of Dania Beach or the City of Hollywood. Only
21 the registered voters residing in area A below described may
22 vote in said referendum.
23 (b) The legal description of area A is as follows:

15 2001, said municipality shall have all powers, privileges, and
16 benefits as provided in section 171.062, Florida Statutes.
17 (d) All roads within area A as described in subsection
18 (b) are hereby transferred from the jurisdiction of Broward
19 County to the annexing municipality except for Anglers Avenue,
20 Ravenswood Road, and any roads designated county collector
21 roads as of September 15, 2001.

2 Said area D containing 643 acres, more or less.
3 (c) Effective September 15, 2001, the unincorporated
4 lands in area D shall be annexed and become a part of the
5 municipality for which the majority of voters voting in the
6 referendum of November 7, 2000, have chosen. On September 15,
7 2001, said municipality shall have all powers, privileges, and
8 benefits as provided in s. 171.062, over the lands as
9 described in area D.
10 (d) All road within area D as described in subsection
11 (b) are hereby transferred from the jurisdiction of Broward
12 County to the annexing municipality except for any roads
13 designated county collector roads as of September 15, 2001.
14 Section 5. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
15 law.
