2 An act relating to the Florida Statutes;
3 repealing various statutory provisions that
4 have become obsolete, have had their effect,
5 have served their purpose, or have been
6 impliedly repealed or superseded; repealing s.
7 766.106(13), F.S., relating to applicability of
8 provisions establishing presuit requirements
9 for medical malpractice claims; repealing s.
10 768.151, F.S., relating to temporary revival of
11 waiver of sovereign immunity authorized under
12 ch. 69-116, Laws of Florida, for certain causes
13 of action; repealing s. 768.27, F.S., relating
14 to the effective date and applicability of the
15 Florida Wrongful Death Act; repealing s.
16 768.30, F.S., relating to the effective dates
17 and applicability of provisions governing
18 waiver of sovereign immunity in tort actions;
19 providing an effective date.

21 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

23 Section 1. Subsection (13) of section 766.106, Florida
24 Statutes, is repealed.
25 Section 2. Section 768.151, Florida Statutes, is
26 repealed.
27 Section 3. Section 768.27, Florida Statutes, is
28 repealed.
29 Section 4. Section 768.30, Florida Statutes, is
30 repealed.

1 Section 5. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
2 law.

4 STATEMENT OF SUBSTANTIAL CHANGES CONTAINED IN
COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR

7 Section 5, which would have repealed s. 960.296, F.S.,
relating to construction and severability of provisions
8 governing civil restitution liens, is deleted from the bill.
