18 Section 3. The provisions of this act providing for
19 the appointment of the members of the governing board of the
20 Sarasota-Manatee Airport Authority shall take effect only upon
21 approval by a majority vote of those qualified electors of
22 Sarasota and Managee Counties voting in a referendum to be
23 held by the Board of County Commissioners of Sarasota and
24 Manatee Counties in conjunction with the next regular primary
25 or general election, in accordance with the provisions of law
26 relating to elections currently in force, except that this
27 section shall take effect upon becoming a law.
