11  The Committee on Community Affairs offered the following:

13         Amendment 

14         On page 12, lines 11-30 ,

15  remove from the bill:  all of said lines

16

17  and insert in lieu thereof:

18         Section 9.  (1)  The Water Control Plan for South Shore

19  Drainage District heretofore established is adopted for the

20  District and established as herein stated.  The existing

21  drainage facilities and drainage system within the territorial

22  boundaries of the District will be utilized under the Water

23  Control Plan including levees, canals, channels, laterals,

24  pumping plants, and other structures.

25         (2)  The pump station building, equipment, and canal

26  systems serving the additional lands shall be deemed to be a

27  part of the District's Water Control Plan which will be

28  effective upon the transfer of the aforementioned facilities

29  to the District by the Owner.

30         Section 10.  It is hereby ascertained that all lands

31  within the boundaries of the District shall be equally

 1  benefited from the water management works, facilities, and

 2  improvements as constructed and maintained under the  Water

 3  Control Plan and pursuant to the provisions of this act; and,

 4  therefore, all said lands in the District shall be assessed

 5  equally, by reason of the operation
