11  The Committee on Criminal Justice Appropriations offered the

12  following:

14         Amendment (with title amendment) 

15         On page 6, lines 1 through 6,

16  remove from the bill:  all of said lines

18  and insert in lieu thereof:  (6)  At the time of submission of

19  the rules to the Joint Administrative Procedures Committee,

20  the department shall also submit a study based on existing

21  offenders which projects the number of existing offenders who

22  will qualify under the rules and which includes a plan to

23  increase capacity of the geriatric facility at River Junction

24  Correctional Institution and to operate it as a stand-alone

25  institution.  An appendix to the study shall identify the

26  specific offenders who qualify.
