14 On page 19, between lines 24 and 25

16 insert:
17 Section 21. Subsection (7) of section 828.27, Florida
18 Statutes, is amended to read:
19 828.27 Local animal control or cruelty ordinances;
20 penalty.--
21 (7) Nothing contained in this section shall prevent
22 any county or municipality from enacting any ordinance
23 relating to animal control or cruelty which is identical to
24 the provisions of this chapter or any other state law, except
25 as to penalty. However, no county or municipal ordinance
26 relating to animal control or cruelty shall conflict with the
27 provisions of this chapter or any other state law.
28 Notwithstanding the provisions of this subsection, the
29 governing body of any county or municipality is authorized to
30 enact ordinances prohibiting or regulating noise from any
31 domesticated animal, violation of which shall be punishable

1 upon conviction by a fine not to exceed $500 or by
2 imprisonment in the county jail for a period not to exceed 60
3 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment, for each
4 violation of such ordinance. This subsection shall not apply
5 to animals on land zoned for agricultural purposes.
