  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the Florida Windstorm

  3         Underwriting Association; prohibiting the

  4         association from requiring flood insurance

  5         under certain circumstances; authorizing

  6         certain premium reductions under certain

  7         circumstances; providing an effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11         Section 1.  The Florida Windstorm Underwriting

12  Association shall not require flood insurance coverage as a

13  precondition to policyholder or applicant eligibility for

14  coverage by the association; however, the association may

15  offer to reduce policy premiums for any policyholder or

16  applicant who has flood insurance coverage.

17         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

18  law.

      Prohibits the Florida Windstorm Underwriting Association
23    from requiring flood insurance coverage as a precondition
      to policyholder or applicant eligibility for coverage by
24    the association but authorizes the association to offer
      reduced policy premiums if a policyholder or applicant
25    has flood insurance coverage.
