  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to veterans' affairs; amending

  3         s. 296.06, F.S.; providing an additional

  4         eligibility requirement for residency in the

  5         Veterans' Domiciliary Home of Florida;

  6         providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  Paragraph (e) is added to subsection (2) of

11  section 296.06, Florida Statutes, to read:

12         296.06  State policy; eligibility requirements.--

13         (2)  To be eligible for residency in the home, a

14  veteran must:

15         (e)  Have applied for all financial assistance

16  reasonably available through governmental sources.

17         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

18  law.

21                          HOUSE SUMMARY

      With respect to the "Veterans' Domiciliary Home of
23    Florida Act," provides that a veteran must have applied
      for all financial assistance reasonably available through
24    governmental sources to be eligible for residency in the
      Veterans' Domiciliary Home of Florida.
